SiloReal, is the first Latin American startup to offer a comprehensive solution to agribusiness producers for optimizing the yield of grains stored in silo bags through the use of technology. The company concluded 2023 with more than 50 clients, 221 establishments, and over a million tons of grains monitored in productive areas of Brazil and Argentina. Additionally, it managed to raise over U$S 2 million in financing rounds with investors from both countries.

Delfín Uranga, CEO and cofounder of SiloReal, commented: “Throughout last year, we focused on expanding our client portfolio and encouraging recurrent use of the platform with large production companies like Espartina, Bioceres, MSU, as well as small and medium producers. We also added new clients located in the province of Buenos Aires, Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Chaco and the northern area of Santa Fe”.

He added: “The set objectives were surpassed because we wanted to reach 600 thousand tons and we have already exceeded a million. We have also attracted very talented individuals, which is very important for the company. We managed to strengthen a multidisciplinary team in Argentina and Brazil. This strong team has experience in both technology and business, allowing us to connect all services within an integral ecosystem for both countries”.

Another fundamental achievement of SiloReal throughout 2023 was the consolidation of the products that were built and developed in collaboration with clients. “In 2023, SiloID and SiloSat were born as we already had the SiloMetrix product. Today, we have a much more comprehensive platform that offers various layers of value. The first layer is to give identity to the silo bag in the field, then certification of existence by satellite or status by telemetry. The birth of SiloID has been very important because we went from 200 thousand tons to 1 million, therefore I consider it a milestone as it allowed us to scale 5 times in just 6 months”, he stated.

Regarding the planned projects and advances for 2024, Delfín Uranga further explains: “For this year, in Argentina, we have a very significant challenge as we need to convert the producers who tested the platform into future clients. It is noteworthy that we are noticing several registrations in SiloID autonomously with the current wheat campaign. The idea is to scale quickly and achieve attractive billing levels for the company”.

In reference to the neighboring country, he explains: “In the case of Brazil, the effort will be even greater because it is a very large industry, demanding and with important references in its sector, industry, and cooperative. The storage problem is very serious as it has an average of 300 million tons of production and 100 million tons of storage capacity, and we are here to solve this inconvenience of 200 million tons that require temporary storage. Our solution not only facilitates the management of this asset but also provides access to liquidity. Therefore, we must prepare the platform for exponential growth in 2024 with already validated products, incorporate other invisible real assets, and expand to other countries”, he concludes.

SiloReal provides identity, proof of existence, and status of assets up to now invisible starting with grains stored in silo bags with real-time remote monitoring, achieving traceability, security, and access to credit for producers and entrepreneurs. In this way, invisible assets in the field are transformed into connected real assets.
